The Northern Presbytery Prayer and Healing group is holding a night of encouragement, and prayer and healing on Pentecost Sunday evening
When: Sunday, 24th May 2015 at 6pm. Where: Ponsonby -St Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, 65 Jervois Road.
This is a Presbytery wide event, and we would love to see the church full of people who are wanting to be blessed and united as the Body of Christ.
Our Guest Speaker is Lydia Read, a dynamic speaker and leader who heads up the New Wine Team in New Zealand. Lydia is a trained accountant, but has chosen to live in the country and farm with her husband Shane. She is studying for her BTheol, but her heart is with the New Wine movement and has a passion for encouraging people to live a Dynamic Christian faith.
New Wine is a network of local churches working together with a vision to see the nation change. They see God at work in the world today, healing and transforming lives with an invitation for us to join Him in His work. New Wine’s aim is to see churches filled with the Spirit, alive with the joy of knowing and worshipping Jesus Christ, the Living Word, and doing the works of the Kingdom of God. New Wine bring inspired speakers to NZ, run Summer Festivals and Conferences, with a Mission of equipping churches to extend the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. They also run life changing events with an aim to empower Christians and churches for mission, as well as training Church Leaders through various retreats.
Leading our worship will be the Mahurangi Music Group. Anyone who would like to be part of the prayer team on the night needs to attend a meeting at Ponsonby -St Stephen’s on Monday 11th May 7pm. For more information contact Roy Christian 278-1929.
