Parish Review Coordinator Role (a significant new role)
This is a new, fixed term, two-year, part time (20 hrs /week) Parish Review Coordinator Role for the Northern Presbytery, reporting to the Executive Officer, commencing in June 2018. The purpose of the role is to ensure there are parish reviews of all the parishes in the Northern Presbytery, excluding the CVs, over a two year period. Salary will be based on PCANZ Ministers Stipend. Responsibilities include the following:
• establish a Northern Presbytery Parish Review format by utilizing the GA 2008 approved framework and learnings from other Presbyteries
• establish a team of reviewers and induct them into the use of the Presbytery Parish Review format
• develop and communicate a schedule of parish reviews over the two-year period, aligned as much as possible with strategic priorities
• ensure that the parish reviews are undertaken in a way that engages with, listens to, and respects each Parish, whilst providing an informed external perspective to information provided, analyzed and reported upon
• clearly communicate and be responsive to queries and any issues that may arise during the term of appointment
• organize review teams and be part of as many parish reviews as is practicable to ensure consistency of approach and reports generated
• write or provide quality assurance to all parish review reports, ensuring that these are robust and useful for the Parish, the Region and the Presbytery
