Do you know about the Auckland Presbyterian Harrier Club? Established in 1933, the club is one of the oldest in Auckland – and still alive and well after 83 years! The club meets every Saturday from March through to the end of October, at different venues in the Auckland area – often local church halls. Members enjoy walking through a wide variety of places ranging from city parks, bush tracks to beaches. During the summer months, day or weekend excursions to interesting places outside Auckland are arranged.
The club welcomes runners and walkers of all ages with a focus on fitness while enjoying fellowship in a Christian environment. All levels of ability are catered for with pack leaders choosing appropriate routes for the venue. At present the majority of club members are walkers, but there is one running pack each week.
