Northern Presbytery Mission Enabler

We are seeking applications for this new Presbytery role of Mission Enabler, for an initial three year fixed term, full time position. Reporting to the Executive Officer, the overall purpose of this role is to advance the provision by congregations of effective mission activities. We are looking for a leader with a passion for mission, an effective communicator and relationship builder. Energetic, proactive, innovative, trustworthy and committed to achieving results are among essential qualities. Working with the Presbytery’s Mission Pathways Fund Committee, and with the Community Relations Manager, Presbyterian Support Northern. It is envisaged that the successful applicant will take a strategic approach, commencing with an overview stocktake of what currently exists and then discerning how best to achieve effective mission activities across the Presbytery.

Remuneration will be based on a stipendiary ministry, as identified by the PCANZ, with standard terms and conditions. There will be provision for a combination of working from home and based at the Presbytery Office, including the provision of adequate IT facilities if this is necessary. Mahurangi Presbyterian Church is poised to expand! We are looking for a person to join our team to help bring the Gospel to the people of the Mahurangi Community. We seek a creative, gifted and passionate pastor with good relational skills.

This will be a full time position responsible for managing and developing the delegated ministries of the Mahurangi Presbyterian Church.

We are looking for someone who:

• Loves Jesus and is passionate about helping others find Him
• Is able to develop the church’s ministry to young families
• Has the ability to co-ordinate our music teams
• Is able to oversee our homegroup ministry
• Is highly organised, has great communication skills and fits in well in a team environment
