About

Revitalise

Our mission is to see churches flourish, multiply, and grow in their effectiveness in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Confronted with the ongoing decline of many of our churches, Northern Presbytery was moved by a deep desire to see our congregations flourish once again – one church at a time.

In early 2023 Northern Presbytery began exploring City to City Australia’s revitalisation framework. After prayerful reflection and thoughtful discussion, Northern Presbytery committed to two years of training with City to City Australia. This journey led to the development of our own Presbytery-led initiative: Launching Revitalise NP in August 2025.

Founded with a heart to serve, Revitalise NP exists to support and strengthen congregations across Northern Presbytery. Together, we can build a network of Christ-centred and thriving churches and ministries.

OUR WHY

To proactively assist, support, encourage and equip churches within the NP to become vibrant, life- giving, gospel centered, disciple making, missional, faithful and fruitful in all they do for the sake of God’s kingdom.

To build on our strengths, recognize our weaknesses and embark on a journey that leads to personal and corporate renewal and transformation.

To recognize the unique cultural context of our churches and the communities in which they are placed, building vision, purpose, direction, momentum and growth.

To help navigate change, build trust, give hope, offer support to ministers, ministry leaders, elderships, staff and key leaders – this is a ‘whole church’ process.

OUR HOPE

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, even until the end of the world.
